Staten Island Artist, Leeanne London, Delivers Rhythm & Soul Where Ever She Goes

“Be so good, they can’t ignore you” –Steve Martin

No quote better describes the lyrically powerful, and soulful Leeanne London. Her profound voice has the originality I’d like to see on VH1 Soul. Staten Island, NY ak10981656_892661804087408_8522501658117544833_na ‘Shaolin’ is home to many incredibly talented artists, and Leeanne is definitely one of them. She has been raised here for as long as she can remember. “I’ve never known another place or have ever wanted to call another place home,” she says. On top of being remarkably motivated to go far with her sound, booking gigs left and right, Leeanne has given back to her community numerous times during her membership in P.E.M.G– a youth mentoring program and music group, founded by activist and rapper, NYOIL. She also makes it her priority to show love and connect with Staten Island’s finest artists, so together they can rise.

Just two days ago, Leeanne performed at Hashtag Bar (388 Van Duzer St, Staten Island, NY), during a one-of-a-kind music & art festival called FemaleCentric. In the video below, she performs a “perfect mashup” of ‘Pretty Hurts’ by Beyoncé, ‘Unpretty’ by TLC, and ‘Beautiful’ by Christina Aguilera.

The next video below is another performance by the lovely songstress, at Sounds of Brazil aka SOBs (204 Varick St, New York, NY) back in January 2015. This is her original work titled, “Free Fall.”

Just beautiful. She simply can’t go unnoticed.
